Emerald Resort & Casino’s wine show a success

ERC Wine Show 1With hundreds of wines to taste and purchase and great exhibitors, this year’s Emerald Resort & Casino Wine Show certainly lived up to the hype and expectations of the media and public alike.

“We’re thrilled with the comments and compliments that we have received from attendees over the event’s two days,” says Tanuja Gangabishun, Marketing Executive at Emerald Resort & Casino. “As the traditional precursor to the Vaal Meander Wine Route, this show sets up the 12th annual route perfectly.”

At the pre-event media and VIP hosting, Martin Rice, CEO of Emerald Resort & Casino officially opened the show and welcomed everyone to the Resort.  Prizes were handed out to the best exhibitors and an extraordinary donation of R10 000 was presented to the Children 4 Children charity, donated by Emerald Resort & Casino.

The 2015 show saw representation from many notable wine farms in the form of wine makers, owners and wine ambassadors with a sample of over 200 South African wines. Some of these included Claim d’Or, Muratie, Neil Ellis, House of Mandela, Driehoek and Le Pommier.

“I would like to thank everyone that attended, all the exhibitors that really outdid themselves this year to make the event so successful and of course the team from Emerald Resort & Casino that continually take our events to the next level,” concludes Tanuja.

Emerald Resort & Casino’s restaurant, High Stakes, is one of the 2015 Vaal Meander Route’s special venue locations that is currently offering special wine tasting experiences and menus. These include five different menu tasting items paired with wine, four course exclusive meals partnered with choice wines and a cheese and wine experience where a selection of cheeses, preserves and savoury biscuits are served with a full wine tasting experience.
