Albany’s healthy bread range Albany Ultima is partnering with the well i am kitchen for the next edition of the Good Food and Wine show taking place from the 23rd to the 26th July 2015 at the Dome in Johannesburg. For over a decade, the Good Food & Wine Show has pushed the boundaries of innovation and excellence as South Africa’s premier food, wine and lifestyle experience, and this year they’ve cooked up something bigger and better than ever.
The Good Food and Wine Show brings to you an exciting celebrity chef line-up which consists of the who’s who of the modern kitchen, from MasterChef Australia’s Brent Owen to Adriano Zumbo. Also expected at this year’s show is UK’s Tom Parker-Bowles, John Torode, Reza Mahammad and Lifestyle and Wellness expert, Lisa Raleigh who will be conducting demonstrations through the popular Health Hub and well i am kitchen. All her demonstrations will be done in front of a live audience and will include the Albany Ultima health bread range and how to prepare it for healthy and delicious dishes.
“We were so thrilled to introduce the Health Hub and well i am kitchen to the Good Food and Wine Show in Cape Town, and are expecting the same overwhelming support in Johannesburg. The positive reception says a lot about where the event is headed in terms of health intelligence, as well as how people are moving towards eating more consciously – while still loving what they eat! Healthy foods and delicious foods can so often be one and the same, and I love demonstrating this to a live audience. The Health Hub is banishing the old stereotype that healthy is boring and adding a little more ‘Good’ into the Good Food and Wine Show,” says Raleigh, who has been an exercise specialist for more than a decade, with her specialities including wellness, digestion, stress management, obesity and, more recently, fitness technology.
The Albany Ultima range consists of Rooibos and Rye Brown Bread, Multigrain Brown Bread and Kilojoule Controlled Bread.
‘Bread is a huge favourite because it tastes great and is packed with energy’, says Alanta Moodley, Albany Ultima Brand Manager. ‘Traditionally, however, the concern with eating a large amount of bread has been the high carbohydrate level which has an impact on weight maintenance. Albany Ultima Kilojoule Controlled Brown Bread provides a healthy alternative to people who want the benefit of great tasting bread with a low calorie count. It has been specifically formulated to aid in Kilojoule control providing a nutritious eating alternative that assists in weight management.’
