Sapphire Coast Tourism is excited to welcome runners, spectators, and supporters to Amanzimtoti for the highly anticipated Goss & Balfe Sapphire Coast Marathon on Sunday, 27 October 2024. This early qualifier for the Comrades Marathon, organised by Amanzimtoti Athletics Club, is a great opportunity for athletes and visitors to experience this coastal gem.
“We can confirm there will be an exciting new route for the 10km race at the 2024 Goss & Balfe Sapphire Coast Marathon, taking runners along the scenic beach road and onto the promenade, while the 2023 routes for the 21.1km and 42.2km races will remain,” said Lynette Botha of Amanzimtoti Athletics Club. “This annual event is a great preparation for the upcoming Comrades Marathon and we encourage spectators to come out in full support of our incredible athletes. A massive thanks to event sponsors, Goss & Balfe and Galleria Mall, for making this possible, as well as Suzuki Amanzimtoti who will again sponsor the leading cars and the bailer bus to assist our athletes.”
