Altron, a specialist service provider and implementing partner with a proven and trusted track record across Sub-Saharan Africa, has won three awards at Huawei Eco Connect Sub-Saharan Africa 2023.

This year, the company took home Cloud Sales Partner of the Year, Network Partner of the Year and Enterprise Sales Partner of the Year in a clear win that demonstrates its commitment to leveraging world-class technology and best practices to deliver exceptional solutions to the market.

“Winning these awards demonstrates the strength of our relationship with Huawei and ratifies the partnership that we have,” says Tim Ellis, Executive: Infrastructure Sales at Altron. “These awards are an acknowledgement of our shared commitment to innovative and relevant service delivery to our customers in Africa.”

They are also a testament to the continued standards of excellence demonstrated by Altron over the years. The company took home Network Partner of the Year, Huawei Cloud Partner of the Year, and IP Services Partner of the Year in 2022. For Altron, however, the goal remains to take home the award for Data Centre Storage Partner of the Year.

“We plan to win that next year as we are extremely focused on the strategic value we provide and how we leverage Huawei’s technology to do so,” he says. “Both Altron and Huawei are aligned in our objectives, recognising the growth opportunity in the market and finding new ways to enhance our service provision and capabilities to meet this opportunity head-on. We want to play a role in data centres, storage, compute and cloud, using our skills to complement the Huawei stable.”

Huawei Eco Connect Sub-Saharan Africa 2023 connected thousands of businesses, executives, thought leaders and industry innovators together at an event dedicated to exploring growth, digitalisation, and technology innovation. It provided attendees with a space within which to learn more about Huawei’s latest products, programmes and initiatives, as well as a forum within which to unpack further opportunities for shared growth and development.

“Huawei is on an impressive journey, one that we are proud to be a part of,” concludes Ellis “It is a strategic relationship that gives us a competitive edge because we have access to next-generation solutions and services that allow us to optimise our own customer engagements and service delivery.”

David Wang, Executive Director of the Board, Chairman of ICT Infrastructure Managing Board, President of Enterprise BG, Huawei, gave a welcoming speech. He said, Huawei is working hard to provide the industry’s widest range of leading products and solutions. We are also joining hands with partners around the world to help countless industries go digital faster.

Leo Chen, President of Huawei Sub-Saharan Africa Region said in his keynote speech, that Huawei would like to stress that fairness, transparency, win-win, and mutual growth are the principles of its partner policies. “Huawei will respect business boundaries, adhere to the strategy of ‘being integrated’, and distribute benefits to ensure that partners who work more closely with customers will gain more benefits,” he said.

The event took place on 06 July at the Sandton Convention Centre with the theme of Leading Digital for New Value Together. Altron took home three awards for the second year running, cementing its strategic relationship with Huawei and inspiring another year of success. Read more about Altron here
