Calling all fearless women to change the narrative around feminine hygiene

Advocating for women’s empowerment through feminine hygiene is a crucial and often overlooked cause, with cultural and societal taboos leaving women uncomfortable and silenced. 

GynaGuard, the Number 1 Feminine Hygiene Intimate Care brand in South Africa, aims to change this status quo and uplift women through its first-ever ambassador search competition. The brand is on the lookout for three extraordinary and fearless women to become the Face of GynaGuard. This is a chance for you to advocate for women’s empowerment, open up honest discussions around feminine hygiene and well-being, and foster a more holistic understanding of women’s wellness.

“We firmly believe that feminine hygiene and care for women’s bodies should be openly and honestly discussed. Our aim is to demystify feminine hygiene and destigmatise words like vagina, labia, and vulva. Educating women and girls about feminine hygiene can empower them to thrive while encouraging husbands and fathers to understand and support their wives and daughters. Women and girls deserve to be their true selves without fear of stigma or judgement. “The Face of GynaGuard will be chosen through a selection process to identify women who embody the brand’s core values. The process involves an initial screening of entries based on the eligibility criteria, followed by a thorough evaluation by our expert panel, who will consider several factors like the entrant’s understanding of feminine hygiene and health, ability to engage with audiences, and passion for promoting women’s wellness. The winners will embody confidence, empowerment, authenticity, and inclusivity,” says Quma.

Each lady will win a Fiat 500, a one-year brand ambassadorship and prizes worth over R100 000.

The competition, which has been running since 1 May 2023, closes on 31 July 2023. Winners will be notified telephonically and publicly announced at the beginning of September 2023. The year-long brand ambassadorship will run from September 2023 to the end of August 2024 for the winners.
