For three days, attendees will have access to a content market place, conferences music showcases, film screenings, exhibitions, professional development, and a variety of networking opportunities.
FAME Week Africa consists of the following corelated MIP Africa, Cape Town International Animation Festival (CTIAF), Muziki Africa and Media & Entertainment Solutions Africa (MESA).
THE HOME OF AFRICAN CREATIVES
According to Martin Hiller, FAME Week Africa Event Director, attendance at FAME Week Africa exceeded all expectations, with 8 events over 3 days, 4 563 prescheduled meetings, 1 653 attendees at the exhibition and MIP Africa Market and over 5 000 attendees over across all FAME Week Africa events.
Building on from the success of this year’s event, FAME Week Africa will be adding the MIP Africa Production Services Village to the exhibition floor. The village will showcase locations, destinations, translators, make-up, special effects, costume designers and set designers, opening up more opportunities for the industry across Africa and globally.
The Muziki Africa Pavilion will provide a platform for those working with labels, recording studios, A&R repertoires, song writing and musical arrangement. The opportunity to meet with different producers and A&R executives will start at the Muziki Africa Pavilion – thereafter the sky’s the limit.
Attendees can also look forward to the Red Carpet Premiere, the FAMEous Party, Creative Leaders Lunch, the Producers Networking cocktail party and Women in Entertainment networking session.
Says Hiller: “With the phenomenal Host City of Cape Town as the backdrop, RX Africa’s FAME Week Africa looks to reach new heights in 2023, even after setting the bar so high in 2022.
“Not only will attendees reconnect with other industry icons, there will be a whole new wave of bright young talent across all sectors to meet and do business with. Diarise 4 – 6 September 2023 now and make sure you are in South Africa’s Mother City for the creative industries event of the year.”
